[ I know you're sad and I think it's my fault ]

Ahh, my last night in Japan before heading back to the comforts of San Francisco.
While I've been here I've relaxed my normal dietary constraints to include eating fish (i.e., pescetarianism). The original motivation was because it would be hard to eat anything without consuming fish, which is likely to be in any soup broth and many dipping sauces (dashi contains bonito). So the plan was to allow fish when it made it impossible to eat. Instead, I've been indulging in seafood during most meals. E.g., ordering ramen with the extra piece of fried shrimp, consuming broiled fish, or eating the piece of salmon included in a bento box. I've been a bad vegetarian, but do plan on reverting back once I'm back in the U.S.
